Ramsey Pavilion were back in league action this week as they travelled to Ely Crusaders in Mead Plant & Grab Division 2B.
The Pavos started well and went ahead when Player / Manager Matthew Brading struck from distance. Shortly after that, Tom Allgood converted from the penalty spot to give the visitors a 2-0 lead at half time. Into the 2nd half and, despite creating chances, Ramsey failed to put the game to bed. With 10 minutes to play Ely pulled a goal back before snatching an equaliser in the dying moments. 2-2 the final score. A good point on the road but Ramsey will feel as though it could have been more. After the game Brading said "I'm pleased that the lads produced another positive performance. If we have a day when we put away all of our chances we'll give someone a real hiding." Pavilion fans will be hoping that day comes this Saturday (12th November) as they welcome Ely Crusaders to Cricketfield Lane for the return fixture and much anticipated first home match of the season.
