The Cambs Division 2B title has been decided with AFC Barley Mow of Huntingdon sealing the Championship along with a successive promotion. It was another month of dropped points for Ramsey Pavilion which ultimately saw their own promotion push run out of steam, they currently sit in 3rd position in the table but with several other sides close behind as the season draws to an end.

Once again, the month started well for Pavilion as a trip to Soham United Reserves saw the Ramsey side come out on top with a hard fought 3-2 win. Tom Lloyd bagged a brace with Kyle McPartlin grabbing the other.

Next up was the visit of a Brampton Reserves side that also held designs of a 3rd placed league finish. It was the visitors who took the 3pts on the day with a 3-2 win. Pavilion in truth, didn't put in a performance that many know they are capable of and we're probably flattered by the 3-2 score line in the end, with Matt Brading and Kyle McPartlin getting the goals for the home side.

Pavilion were hoping to get back to winning ways in their third fixture of the month as lowly Upwell Town visited Cricketfield Lane and it looked as they would do exactly that as they cruised out to a 3-0 lead thanks to an own goal, a smart Kyle McPartlin finish and a 25yd thunderbolt from Jamie Perry, but there was a twist in the tail. 8 minutes to play and Upwell's lively left midfielder cut inside to score what appeared to be a conciliation goal. 5 minutes to play and Upwell had a lifeline when their substitute sent a sweetly struck 20yd half volley into the top corner. Finally, Upwell won a free kick on the edge of the Pavilion box which was curled exquisitely past the helpless Dan Shire to give Upwell a share of the points.

Ramsey Pavilion now have two matches remaining, at Home to March Rangers on Saturday 22nd April and Away to Mildenhall United on 6th May, where they will look to seal a third place league finish that would represent a positive achievement for a club in its first season since re-forming.

Despite the disappointing results, it was a good month on a personal level for Striker Kyle McPartlin whose 3 goals in 3 games took him level with strike partner Jake Burton on 20 goals for the season. Not a bad return from a player that was a Central Defender when he joined the club in preseason!
